INFARMED (Portugal)

INFARMED (National Authority of Medicines and Health Products, I.P.) is the Portuguese national authority responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of medicines and health products to protect public health. It operates under the Ministry of Health with administrative and financial autonomy. INFARMED's roles include the regulation, evaluation, authorization, supervision, and control of medicinal and health products from research to their use by healthcare professionals and patients in Portugal.
