Cytotoxics (also called cytotoxic drugs or cytotoxic agents) are medications that kill cells or stop them from dividing. They are primarily used in cancer chemotherapy because cancer cells divide rapidly. However, they can also affect normal rapidly dividing cells, leading to side effects.
