API Description: Lapatinib ditosylate anhydrous is a potent, orally active inhibitor of the ErbB-2 and EGFR tyrosine kinase domains. It has been developed by GlaxoSmithKline and is indicated in combination therapy for the treatment of metastatic breast cancer that overexpresses the HER2 receptor. The recommended dosage for TYKERB is 1,250 mg (5 tablets) given orally once daily on Days 1-21 continuously in combination with capecitabine 2,000 mg/m2/day on Days 1-14 in a repeating 21-day cycle.
